Amos is fun, and mostly covered in snow.

Got a minor freak out because of possible ghostly presence and a major freak out because of impending laptop death.
Larg's battery is dead(has been for a while) and the adapter/power cord keeps doing weird things like NOT LETTING POWER THROUGH and it fucked up and i got very very upset, cause all i wanted was some fic to take my mind off scary ghost stories and order some flowers for mom. So of all the days for it to die on me TODAY WAS NOT A GOOD DAY!!
Roomie was very calm and rational and helpful and it ended up working again. But now i'm afraid to even move the power cord. :(
Ordering new power cord ASAP. ;____;

Also, flowers are freagin' expensive. Nevertheless, It's worth it to be able to send it anywhere at anytime.
Why send mom flowers for my bday you ask? Well, why should i be congratulated for being born when it was mom who did all the work, right? :P One of the girls did it for her bday and i thought it was a great idea~ :)

Anyhow. Fic now, then bed. Because tomorrow is a big day and i'm gonna start DRAWING ON THE WALL! Yeah! >8D

Much better now. Wednesday i called in sick and stayed home, but in the end went out shopping. I found a Fabricland, and my Fabricville membership card is still valid here! 8D W00t!!!

Today i was at McNabb helping them with an epic photoshoot for all those people who usually never get a chance to get nice pictures taken, let alone out of their wheelchairs. *___* It was truly epic, and the photographer was absolutely amazing and fun. I was his umbrella assistant XD

Tomorrow i s no tech day. THAT MEANS NO ELECTRONICS NONE! djsalkfjsalkdjals

Preferably with a vegetarian alternative. Preferably with ingredients that are common and not too expensive. Our budget is 350$ for 7 days for 9 people.

-Went apple picking in the rain. Again.
-Received many well wishes from many people
-Ran around last minute buying stuff

-Consequently failed to cancel my order of Star Wars Omnibus with Astro :(
-~~Mocked~~ Sympathized with my brother who is suffering from braces.
-Angsted over Gramma's reaction

-Burned all my music on DVD, saved a shitload of fic and ebooks, and loaded the R4
-Reclaimed mom's laptop and had a scare when I thought I deleted all her work files

I LEAVE IN A WEEK!! AAAAAAHHH!!!~~~ *freaks out*

I think most things are ready to be packed. Clothes are okay, books are in selection process, fics and ebooks are saved, games are loaded to R4.
There is now the issue of how to store and carry my 11GB of music to solve. O_O

The past week has been fortifying, if i can call it that. I got to see friends and enjoy time with them as well as got encouragements from my parent's entourage. It's very comforting to discover how much people care and support you at a time like this. I'm truly grateful to each and everyone. m-_-m

I think monday was the first time we actually had thanksgiving turkey, courtesy of cousin-dearest and her mom.

Right now i'm just mostly trying to tie up loose ends and set things in order.
dramapuri_subs is taken care of and dear seii_ryu is in the team!

EPIC FABRIC SHOPPING HAS BEEN ACHIEVED! Seeing Kimmy and Ayu was soo much fun! ^___^ But it makes me sad I wont be here for more sewing parties and more cosplay planning this year ;____;

EPIC FABRIC IS EPIC! I got:
-3 m of thick black Material for Soren/Senerio (FE9)
-2 m of thick white material for Colette (TOS)
-0.5 m of brown pleather for jedi Belt
-2 m of interfacing for Colette's flaps
-2 m of pretty japanese pattern printed material .. for random Obi? ^-^

But... crap. WHY IS SOREN'S CAPE GREEN!!?? and two different kinds too, which means alksfhjalksdj lining!! crap... *kicks something*
And his robe isn't even really black... more like dark dark blue... and then details... crap...
This one is not getting done until AN 2010. :( I'll need about 6 more colors just for him... *kicks*

I'm seriously considering that black material for Jedi cape. It's PERFECT.

I've finally started on my Hikari costume (Digimon season 2). It's a really simple costume, so why do I fail soo badly at making it?? ;____;

So, there's a bit less than a month left before i venture off into the Great Canadian Wilderness for 9 months.

I thought i ought to stock up on entertainment, since regular internet access is still a vague hope at this point. I'll be sharing one computer with internet access with 10 other people. Dad at least agreed to let be bring mom's laptop. Pray it'll be wireless internet .___.

So, i'm putting forth a call to you, my dear F-list, as you are such resourceful people.

DOES ANYONE HAVE AUDIOBOOKS or E-BOOKS THEY ARE WILLING TO SHARE?
I'll also be grateful for fic recs (especially epic long fic in the HP, GO, SW or other fandom), music, animation movies, or whatever you can give me to tide me through 9 months. :P

On the other hand, i'm reminded of how much i love POT while watching the chinese drama. THIS SHOW IS SOO EPIC!!!! It brought back all thesquee and warmfuzzies watching POT used to give me!~ ^0^

I got dragged clothes shopping by my mom yesterday. We almost never shop, let alone for clothes()except when we're in China), so that was a first. O_O

The lady in Reitmans asked me if i wanted a job there when we were paying. I figured why not, since I've nothing specific planned anyway for the whole month, i might as well work a bit. She immediately offered me to fill in the form and come back for interview on Wednesday.

O_O I never wanted to work in clothing shop. I usually avoid them like plague. O_O
But hey, they offered....
And the girls there are really cool. Might as well make so monies to pay back all my cosplay expenses this year~ XD
I think I might bring in my CV anyway and go see if the bookstore in the mall also need people. O_O *feels like traitor*

I've also managed to get the newest Marc Levy novel: Toutes ces chose qu'on ne s'est pas dites. *____*

I started it this morning, intending to read a few chapters. I never managed to put it down. =___= Yes, i finished it.

Marc Levy is king of witty conversations and fantastically vivid characters. I adore the way they banter, and never tire of his pun-y choice of words. He makes reading french a real pleasure, since he is able to bring out all the beautiful and fun subtilities(sp?? while i fail to spell correct english) of the language.
Somehow, I always fall for his "best friend" type guys~ XD They are just soo lovable~ ♥

If you are francophone, are learning french, or can read french at all, DEFINITELY read this novel. Or any other novel of his. They are simply delicious.

(And Dreamer, we get Antoine and Mathias cameos!! 8DDDD When they were young and carefree and full of facepalm~ XD I was stupid enough to not catch on until much too late~ :P )

Everytime he writes a new novel, i think it's my favorite, but his next one is ALWAYS BETTER. *bows to true talent*

Back from camp!!! The activities were slightly tedious, but our surroundings were absolutely gorgeous!! *_*

I finally received word from KATIMAVIK!! Here are my destinations for the next 9 months:

October 22, 2008 : Sault Ste-Marie - ONTARIO
January 28, 2009 : Amos - QUEBEC
April 22, 2009 : Williams Lake - BC

Both ON and QC locations are about a day's drive from Montreal, so my parents can probably some visit me for Christmas!! ^0^ Williams Lake, on the other hand, in seriously in the middle of Nowhere. :P

In other news, my mom returned my sewing machine AND BOUGHT A NEW ONE. For 300$!! It's big, and fancy, and omgsoofast!! *__________* It can do anything, including embroidery! x___X *flops* She went from simplest to fanciest. My mom, she is soo... extreme... sometimes~ XD
